AVP: Inside The Players Tent

The AVP was one of the first professional sports to host live competition exclusively for online and real time viewing during COVID19. The AVP Champions Cup Series was live streamed on Amazon Prime and was showcased on both NBC and NBC Sports Network (NBCSN). Dr. Karena Wu, AVP Medical Director was able to oversee the medical tent for all three Champions Cup Series in July 2020. Dr. Wu’s role entails staffing and managing the medical tent with a multi-disciplinary team. She also treats the AVP athletes. We hope to get back to our normal fan based tournaments nationwide but at least we were able to make this one happen in 2020.
