Temporomandibular Disorder and Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy can resolve Temporomandibular Disorder but is often overlooked. TMD refers to pain in the jaw joint from tight muscles, poorly aligned teeth or a malaligned spine. We specialize in TMJ (temporomandibular joint) treatment by treating you holistically. Your Physical Therapist will work on your TMJ and the surrounding muscles, addressing spinal alignment and posture to assess its contribution to TMD. Physical Therapy will reduce pain, stiffness and joint dysfunction. We also work with Frederick Stange, DDS in treating patients with TMD. To read about ActiveCare Physical Therapy, Dr. Stange and TMD, please read our press release here.
